Refund policy

How to cancel a TaskSeal subscription, request a refund, and get help with a charge processed by Paddle.

Cancellation and account deletion are separate. Cancel the subscription in the billing portal to stop a future renewal. Deleting an account does not by itself guarantee that an organization subscription has been canceled.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to paid TaskSeal web subscriptions. Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record and authorized reseller for those purchases, collects payment, calculates applicable taxes, issues transaction documents, and processes approved refunds.

The Android and iOS apps are companion apps for TaskSeal accounts. If TaskSeal later offers a purchase through an app marketplace, that marketplace's billing and refund rules will apply to that purchase.

The 14-day TaskSeal evaluation

Each new organization starts with a 14-day internal TaskSeal Solo evaluation. Starting this evaluation does not create a paid subscription or charge a payment method. A paid subscription begins only when an organization owner chooses a plan and completes Paddle checkout.

The recurring Paddle prices do not add a second free trial. The amount and billing date shown at checkout control the paid transaction.

Canceling a subscription

You may cancel a subscription using the Paddle customer portal linked from the purchase or subscription email, or by visiting Paddle buyer support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the applicable billing period, as shown in the portal, and prevents further renewal charges.

Unless access is suspended under the terms and conditions, the organization can normally use its paid plan through the effective cancellation date. Cancellation alone does not create a refund for time remaining in the current billing period.

Refund eligibility

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, paid TaskSeal transactions are generally non-refundable and non-exchangeable. A refund may be available where mandatory consumer law applies, the service is defective or materially different from its description, a duplicate or unauthorized charge is confirmed, or Paddle or TaskSeal otherwise approves the request under the applicable purchase terms.

Nothing in this policy limits statutory rights that cannot be waived. Eligibility may depend on the buyer's location, transaction date, whether the service has been used, and the reason for the request. Review Paddle's Refund Policy for the terms governing Paddle transactions.

How to request a refund

  1. Open the Paddle customer portal using the link in your transaction or subscription email, or visit paddle.net.
  2. Use the refund or buyer-support option and provide the email address and transaction details associated with the purchase.
  3. If the request concerns TaskSeal service delivery, also email support@taskseal.org so we can investigate the product issue.

Paddle makes the final payment-system determination and processes an approved refund, normally to the original payment method where possible. Posting time depends on Paddle, the payment method, and the buyer's financial institution.

Duplicate, unauthorized, or service-related charges

For a duplicate charge, an unfamiliar transaction, an incorrect plan, or a service-access problem after payment, contact TaskSeal support promptly and use Paddle buyer support. Include the Paddle transaction reference, purchase email address, charge date, and a short description. Do not email full card details, passwords, or verification codes.

A chargeback can delay investigation and may affect service access while the transaction is reviewed. Contacting Paddle and TaskSeal first usually gives both teams the information needed to investigate.
